HOW

The 2027 CEEL program is structured as six two-day sessions held at various strategic energy sites across the Carolinas, featuring:

  • Interactive Learning: Classroom sessions with industry leaders and seasoned instructors.
  • On-site Tours: Exclusive behind-the-scenes tours at major energy facilities.
  • Hands-On Experience: Small-group exercises and networking events to foster relationships and encourage peer learning.

2027 CEEL Session Schedule**:


Each session is tailored to a unique aspect of the energy industry, blending leadership development with specific energy sector topics:

  • Session 1 (March): Focus on the energy industry as a whole and research in energy.
  • Session 2 (April): Leadership management and the renewable energy spectrum, including wind and hydro.
  • Session 3 (June): Industry structure, rates and regulations.
  • Session 4 (September): Energy transmission and distribution, with a focus in nuclear energy.
  • Session 5 (October): Advanced transportation and energy management innovations.
  • Session 6 (November): Strategic planning, utility operations, and nuclear energy.

For over a decade, the Carolina Emerging Energy Leaders (CEEL) program has prepared up-and-coming professionals to excel in the energy industry. Participants gain essential skills, including:

  • Member Rate: TBD for 2027
  • Non-Member Rate: TBD for 2027
    Governments and not-for-profit organizations qualify for the member rate.
  • If ordering for 3+ participants, the member rate will be reduced.


Tuition includes program planning, instructional materials, professional coaching, and networking events.
